These are among the first of the bottle cap sculptures.  This series titled Ionic, a play on words of "Ironic", was completed as part of a Bachelor in Fine Arts Graduating exhibition at the Mackenzie Art Gallery in Regina, SK.  The sculptures are influenced by the three largest bottled water producers in the world, with each detournement capable of conceptually standing on its own, or as part of the group.  The Evian bottle stands 6 feet tall and its label on one side has been reversed to read Naive.  The Aquafina bottle stands 13 feet tall and features their slogan, "Purity Guaranteed" with the added words "Now With Phthalates".  On the back of the final bottle titled Dasani, which stands 11 feet tall, states without imposition, "Do you know what's in your bottled water?"
