The fourth sculpture in the bottle cap series, titled Concern, (completed at the 25e Symposium International D’art Contemporain de Baie St Paul) stands 10 ½ feet tall and is fashioned from plastic bottle caps collected around the environment and from the people of Baie St Paul.  The logo is appropriated  from the new Coca Cola product Coca Cola Zero, but has been altered to read Concern Zero.  This subversion is meant to expose both the lack of concern of the Coca Cola Corporation in terms of corporate responsibility towards environmental, social, and cultural affairs, but also a lack of concern on behalf of the consumers who have become detached from our detritus through modernist initiated public infrastructures such as waste removal services or recycling plants.  As a result, this sculpture transcends its material obscurity and evolves into a monument of community building and environmental awareness.
